Task Bounty Marketplace
A task bounty is a reward attached to a defined piece of work. In a funded bounty model, the money is committed before the opportunity opens, so an eligible doer can claim the task and work toward a known outcome and proof standard. Nothing.gripe uses this concept for one-off funded tasks rather than proposal auctions.
Bounty vs. freelance proposal vs. contest
| Model | What is decided first? | Typical trigger for payment |
|---|---|---|
| Proposal work | Client chooses a provider | Contract milestones or delivery |
| Contest | Multiple entries compete | Selected winners |
| Funded task bounty | Task scope + funds + proof standard | Verified completion |
The lifecycle
Define → Fund → Open → Claim → Do → Prove → Verify → Pay. The task page remains the source of truth for the precise deadline, proof requirements and eligibility rules.
Why the funded state matters
A “wanted” task and a funded task are not the same thing. Funding is a commitment signal: the platform can show the opportunity as a real funded item rather than simply collecting expressions of interest.
Bounties still need operational rules
Clear proof, cancellation rules, dispute handling and payout conditions matter. Read the proof and verification, dispute process and economics before using the marketplace.
