Task Proof & Verification
Proof is the evidence a doer submits to show that a funded task was completed. Verification checks that evidence against the task requirements before the stated payout is released.
Examples of task proof
Depending on the task, proof can be a photo, screen recording, receipt, source list, test result, public URL, code change, commit hash or another defined deliverable.
Proof should match the task
The best evidence answers the acceptance criteria directly. A task asking for a tested browser flow should receive the requested test evidence rather than unrelated screenshots.
Privacy-aware evidence
Proof should avoid unnecessary personal data, credentials, secrets and sensitive documents. Public tasks should be designed so completion can be shown without exposing people who are not part of the task.
When verification is disputed
If submitted work is contested or unclear, the marketplace can use its dispute and review process. The task terms and proof requirements remain the reference point for deciding whether the requested outcome was demonstrated.
