Proof Based Work: Paid Tasks With Evidence

Proof-based work means the task defines what evidence will demonstrate completion before the work starts. On Nothing.gripe, proof can include original files, screenshots, receipts, timestamps, public-source references or other task-specific evidence. The submitted proof is reviewed against the live task requirements before the stated doer payout becomes payable.

Why proof is part of the task design

If “done” is ambiguous, a tiny task can turn into a dispute. Defining proof upfront makes the requester and doer evaluate the same finish line. It also lets the platform keep a structured record of the claimed task, its evidence and its review state.

Artifact

The file, report, image or output produced by the task.

Context

A screenshot, timestamp, URL or other evidence connecting the artifact to the task.

Review

A human checks whether the evidence satisfies the stated requirements.

Proof is not identical for every job

A software task may need a reproduction video and a reference. A research task may need source URLs and a comparison table. A local verification task may require timestamped evidence. The task page requirements take priority over examples on this guide.

Privacy matters

Proof should contain the minimum information necessary to demonstrate completion. Do not upload private documents, credentials, seed phrases or unrelated personal information. Review the security and rules pages before submitting sensitive material.

Requester tip: if a proof requirement cannot be objectively checked, rewrite it before funding the task.
