Nothing.gripe / Glossary: Funded Task

Funded Task

A funded task is a one-off piece of work for which the requester has already committed the task amount before an eligible doer claims it.

FUNDED FIRSTWork is funded before it becomes an available marketplace opportunity.
NO PROPOSAL BIDDINGEligible doers claim available work instead of competing with proposals.
PROOF → REVIEW → PAYThe task defines what counts as completion before the work starts.

Funded task vs ordinary request

A normal request can describe something someone wants. A funded task adds committed money, a stated payout and usually a defined proof requirement so another person can decide whether to claim the work.

Funded task vs employment

A funded task is not automatically a salary, employment relationship or recurring contract. Its scope, timing and payout are defined per task and subject to the platform rules and terms.

Nothing.gripe meaning

On Nothing.gripe, a funded task enters the marketplace after the platform recognizes the funding. A doer can claim eligible available work, complete it and submit proof for verification.
